The Swedish Graphene Forum was held in Västerås on October 7–8 and what a fantastic event we experienced. Thank you to our great 2D-community.
In Västerås, researchers, companies and students gathered to present creative examples of how most things can be improved with the help of 2D materials.
– We had an important conference where we saw the progress being made in the Swedish 2D sector. We saw impressive results from projects within SIO Grafen, several key examples of how companies are advancing, and not least our 2D Graduate Network, which secures the future with young, brilliant researchers at universities, says Elisabeth Sagström-Bäck, Programme Director of SIO Grafen.
This year, results were shared from exciting projects in areas such as healthcare, work environment, and AI. As usual, you can read more about the Swedish 2D year in a magazine released in December. Read last year’s edition here.
Next year, the Swedish Graphene Forum will be held in October in Gothenburg – the twelfth conference in a row. Stay updated via the SIO Grafen website.
And again; a warm thank you to all of you who participated and made SGF25 such a tremendous success.
PS: Congrats to our winner of the Best Master Thesis 2025, read more here.
