Fredrik Sahlén, Senior Principle Scientist at ABB, is the Chairman of our SIO Grafen board. We asked him three questions about the upcoming Swedish Graphene Forum.
• Why should one attend Swedish Graphene Forum 2025 in Västerås?
– The Swedish Graphene Forum is the place where you get inspired to new ideas for industrial graphene applications, by listening to presentations given by Swedish industry, institutes, and academia, says Fredrik Sahlén.
• What is your own main interest in this year’s event?
– I like the variety of the content of the program. Nice to see the focus on students. I look forward to meeting old and new friends.
• You live in Västerås – what should we see outside the conference room?
1. Visit the spectacular stone ships at Anundshög, some kilometres outside Västerås city centre.
2. Have a drink in the sky bar at Steam Hotel and witness the grand view of Västerås on the lake Mälaren. At the same time, experience the interesting industrial interior design of Steam Hotel, one of Sweden’s most remarkable hotels.
3. Go for a stroll in the charming old part of Västerås ‘Kyrkbacken’ and end the walk inside the peaceful Västerås Cathedral.
